The dataset contains results from an experimental study conducted on laboratory animals (model of postmenopausal osteoporosis) aimed at determining the effect of dietary equol supplementation on calcium homeostasis, body composition, and bone metabolism. The data include diet intake, body and organ weights (absolute and relative), serum biochemical and hematological parameters, as well as histomorphometric bone measurements. All analyses were performed according to standard laboratory procedures using biochemical assays, hematology analyzers, and light microscopy.
The study was conducted at the Poznań University of Life Sciences, Poland.

Zbiór danych obejmuje wyniki pomiarów uzyskanych w badaniu na zwierzętach laboratoryjnych (model osteoporozy pomenopauzalnej), którego celem było określenie wpływu suplementacji ekwolem na gospodarkę wapniową, skład ciała oraz metabolizm kostny. Dane obejmują m.in. spożycie diety, masę ciała, masy bezwzględne i względne narządów, parametry biochemiczne surowicy, hematologiczne oraz histomorfometryczne kości. Pomiary wykonano zgodnie z obowiązującymi standardami laboratoryjnymi z wykorzystaniem analiz biochemicznych, hematologicznych oraz mikroskopii świetlnej.
Badanie przeprowadzono w laboratoriach Uniwersytetu Przyrodniczego w Poznaniu (Polska).
