The database contains 27 files with experimental data. These include: a file containing data on the isolates, their origin, hemolytic activity, and the presence of virulence-associated genes: Data_on_isolates_virulence_profiles.csv, as well as two files containing images of microbiological cultures showing the results of hemolytic activity analysis of the isolates after 24 and 48 h of incubation: Images_of_hemolytic_activity_of_isolates_24h.zip and Images_of_hemolytic_activity_of_isolates_48h.zip. The files were saved in .csv, .jpg, and .png formats and were prepared using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word. The data represent the results of studies on the presence of virulence-associated genes in 51 Listeria innocua isolates recovered from raw meat, processed meat products, and meat-processing environments in Poland. The presence of selected virulence-associated genes, including genes associated with Listeria pathogenicity island 1 (LIPI-1), internalins, other virulence factors, genes associated with Listeria pathogenicity island 3 (LIPI-3), and selected genes of Listeria pathogenicity island 4 (LIPI-4), was analyzed using PCR. PCR products were analyzed by agarose gel electrophoresis. In addition, the hemolytic activity of the isolates was assessed phenotypically on Columbia Agar supplemented with 5% sheep blood. The results were evaluated after 24 and 48 h of incubation at 35°C.

W bazie danych zdeponowano 27 plików zawierających dane eksperymentalne. Obejmują one: plik z danymi dotyczącymi izolatów, ich pochodzenia, aktywności hemolitycznej oraz obecności genów związanych z wirulencją: Data_on_isolates_virulence_profiles.csv, a także dwa pliki zawierające zdjęcia posiewów mikrobiologicznych przedstawiających wyniki analizy aktywności hemolitycznej izolatów po 24 i 48 h inkubacji: Images_of_hemolytic_activity_of_isolates_24h.zip oraz Images_of_hemolytic_activity_of_isolates_48h.zip. Pliki zapisano w formatach .csv, .jpg oraz .png i przygotowano przy użyciu programów Microsoft Excel oraz Microsoft Word. Dane przedstawiają wyniki badań dotyczących obecności genów związanych z wirulencją u 51 izolatów bakterii Listeria innocua pochodzących z surowego mięsa, przetworzonych produktów mięsnych oraz ze środowiska zakładów przetwórstwa mięsa w Polsce. Obecność wybranych genów związanych z wirulencją, obejmujących geny związane z Listeria pathogenicity island 1 (LIPI-1), internaliny, inne czynniki wirulencji oraz geny związane z Listeria pathogenicity island 3 (LIPI-3) i wybrane geny Listeria pathogenicity island 4 (LIPI-4), analizowano z zastosowaniem techniki PCR. Produkty PCR analizowano metodą elektroforezy w żelu agarozowym. Dodatkowo przeprowadzono fenotypową ocenę aktywności hemolitycznej izolatów na podłożu Columbia Agar suplementowanym 5% krwi owczej. Wyniki oceniano po 24 i 48 h inkubacji w temperaturze 35°C.
