The dataset originates from a feeding experiment conducted on 40 female pigs housed in two separate pens on a commercial breeding farm. The experimental group (n = 20) received a standard diet supplemented with dried and ground roots of Lepidium meyenii (500 mg/kg body weight/day; 1% of feed), whereas the control group (n = 20) received only the standard diet. This dataset contains molecular and epigenetic data generated from liver tissue samples collected from control and experimental animals. The deposited materials include gene expression results for ten target genes (CLDN4, GFALS, INHBE, DCN, SREBF1, GASK1A, PPP1R3C, PPP1R3B, TUBA4A, and GCK) analyzed using quantitative PCR. The dataset also includes pyrosequencing-based DNA methylation profiles for selected CpG sites within the 5 selected genes as well as raw Western blot densitometry data for TUBA4A protein expression. In addition, Sanger sequencing results for selected DNA variants in two genes are provided.
