This dataverse contains chemical data on obtaining and characterization of poly(2-oxazoline)s conjugated with chelating compounds for the selective entrapment of ions from the bacterial cell membranes. Data include synthesis of modified 2-oxazoline copolymers, conjugation of 2-oxazoline copolymers with chelating compounds, characterization of polymer-chelator systems, investigation of the chelating activity of polymers in solution and in bacterial environment. More precisely, NMR spectra, SEC MALLS chromotagrams, results of light scattering measurements, images obtained from microscopes, results obtained from atomic absorption spectrometry, and biological data will be placed in this collection. The data relates to the project “Systems of modified poly(2-oxazoline)s for the selective entrapment of ions from the bacterial cell membranes - a new approach to antibacterial polymers”.
