Description of the study’s context: The data was collected as part of a project „LEAP2 as a Modulator of Adipose Tissue and Pancreatic Metabolism in Type 2 Diabetes”, funded by the National Science Centre. The results relate to the impact of LEAP2 on insulin expression and secretion by INS-1E cells and rat pancreatic islets. The purpose of project is to expand knowledge about influence of novel hormone, LEAP2, on pancreatic islets, cell cultures representing pancreatic cells and later on obese, diabetic mouse. Research has in vitro character, data obtained through these experiments will be used for in vivo part of project. Data describes changes in expression of genes, proteins and insulin secretion under influence of various concentrations of LEAP2 hormone, when exposed to INS-1E cell line and pancreatic islets of rat. Data was measured with qPCR, western blot and ELISA techniques. Research was done in department of Animal Physiology and Biochemistry. This research was funded by the National Science Centre (Poland) (2021/41/B/NZ5/00446). More information available in the ReadMe file.
