Description

Database from the My Migration Dashboard study, developed as part of an online research tool designed to assess the resources of migrants and return migrants while simultaneously providing participants with immediate, personalized feedback. The platform combined a research function with a support function: after completing individual sections of the questionnaire, participants received partial feedback, and after completing the full assessment they could download a comprehensive PDF report. The tool was available in Polish, Ukrainian, and English.

The attached database contains both completed and incomplete survey records collected through the My Migration Dashboard platform. The dataset reflects all records available in the system as of 31 July 2026 and is provided in Excel format.

The database covers several thematic areas. It includes sociodemographic information such as age, gender, education and employment status, as well as information on participants’ migration experience and migration history.

A central part of the database concerns four forms of migrant capital:

Human capital refers to resources related to formal qualifications, professional development and work experience, as well as cognitive, manual and practical life skills, including forms of tacit knowledge developed through experience.

Psychological capital covers personal psychological resources such as hope, self-efficacy, resilience and optimism. It also includes personality-related characteristics and the capacity for reflection on one’s experiences and development.

Social capital concerns migrants’ social relationships and networks, perceived social support, access to interpersonal resources, and forms of social and civic engagement.

Economic capital covers financial competencies and resources, including savings, financial planning, thinking about retirement, employment stability and broader economic behaviours.

The database also contains information related to participants’ evaluation of the My Migration Dashboard tool, including satisfaction with the survey and the feedback received, perceived usefulness of the feedback, and participants’ mood after completing the assessment.

In addition, the dataset includes derived scale scores and comparative information used to generate personalized feedback within the platform. Technical information related to the survey process, such as survey language, completion status and the use of the survey-resumption function, is also recorded in the database.

The database can be used to analyse relationships between migrants’ resources, migration experiences, adaptation and integration processes, labour market functioning, and participants’ evaluations of the research and feedback tool.
