The dataset contains the results of the research project entitled "Effect of Microbially Synthesized Surfactin Produced from Potato Industry Waste on Cellulase Activity", funded by the National Science Centre (NCN) (Grant No. DEC-2023/07/X/NZ9/00701).
The dataset includes the following data:
- concentration of surfactin produced in media supplemented with potato industry by-products;
- percentage reduction in the surface tension of the culture medium during submerged cultivation of Bacillus subtilis natto BS19 in media supplemented with potato industry by-products;
- biomass yield of Bacillus subtilis natto BS19 after cultivation in media containing potato industry by-products;
- analysis of potato industry by-products for total nitrogen, total organic carbon, and iron, zinc, calcium, magnesium, and manganese concentrations;
- analysis of the chemical structure of the surfactin analogue mixture obtained from media supplemented with potato industry by-products;
- concentration of reducing sugars released from the substrates low-viscosity carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and microcrystalline cellulose (Avicel PH-101) during the enzymatic reaction in the presence of the surfactin analogue mixture.
