This dataset originates from a longitudinal observational study investigating the interplay between inflammation and brain function following laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG). It includes raw neuroimaging data and extensive clinical and biochemical metadata from 36 participants assessed at three time points:
- 1 week before surgery (Session 1)
- 3 months after surgery (Session 2)
- 12 months after surgery (Session 3)
Contents:
1. Raw neuroimaging data (NIfTI format)
- Structural MRI: T1-weighted anatomical scans
- Functional MRI: 5-minute resting-state scans (TR = 2.5s, 120 volumes)
2. Spreadsheet (BAR22_DOM.xlsx)
This Excel file includes:
- Participant demographics: age_y, female_gender
- Comorbidities: type_2_diabetes, hypertension, hypothyroidism, insulin_resistance, depression
- Metabolic measures: HDL_baseline_mgdl, triglycerides_mgdl, HOMA_IR, etc.
- Cytokine levels: IL-6 and IL-10 values and derived metrics such as:
- IL_6_by_IL10, IL_10_by_IL6
- Log-transformed ratios (e.g., IL_6_by_IL10_log)
- Baseline-normalized cytokine ratios
- Session information: Each row corresponds to a subject-session pair (Subject, Session)
