This repository contains part of the data associated with the article “Nanoplastic Disrupts Intestinal Homeostasis in Immature Rats by Altering the Metabolite Profile and Gene Expression.” The repository includes data related to confocal microscopy imaging of intestinal tissue, including images of intestinal sections and analysis of the fluorescence intensity of PS-NPs. It also contains data on oxidative stress markers, including protein carbonyl groups, malondialdehyde (MDA), total antioxidant capacity (TAC), and glutathione (GSH) concentration. In addition, the repository provides data on the activity of antioxidant enzymes, including catalase (CAT) and superoxide dismutase (SOD). Western blot (WB) analysis is also included, together with the corresponding images and quantitative results for CAT, IL-1B, SOD1, SOD2, and TNF. Furthermore, the repository contains PCR data on the expression of three antioxidant enzymes: CAT, SOD1, and SOD2. Overall, these data provide supporting experimental results related to PS-NPs accumulation, oxidative stress, antioxidant defense, inflammation, and alterations in intestinal homeostasis in immature rats.
