The dataset comprises results from in vitro experiments investigating the effects of Ganoderma lucidum (GL) and Polyporus umbellatus (PU) extracts on MDCK and CRFK cell lines. The data include assessments of cell viability evaluated using two established methods: MTT and neutral red uptake (NRU) assays. Additionally, the dataset contains analyses of the extracts’ impact on mRNA expression levels of selected fibrosis-related marker genes (SMA, TIMP1, COL1A, FN1) under both basal conditions and after stimulation with TGF-β, obtained by Real Time PCR. It also includes results from experiments evaluating the anti-inflammatory potential of GL and PU extracts in LPS-induced inflammation models. Furthermore, the dataset features measurements of antioxidant enzyme activities (SOD, GPx) and changes in malondialdehyde (MDA) concentration, providing insights into oxidative stress modulation by the tested extracts.
