Celem projektu była optymalizacja i walidacja wieloskładnikowej metody oznaczania 10 kongenerów polibromowanych difenyloeterów oraz 8 związków klasyfikowanych jako nowe lub wschodzące bromowane środki zmniejszające palność w glebie. W ramach projektu pobrano 6 próbek gleby, w tym 3 z miejsc potencjalnie zanieczyszczonych i 3 próbki z miejsc teoretycznie niezanieczyszczonych. Próbki poddano oczyszczaniu w celu ekstrakcji analitów z matrycy i określenia ich stężenia. Metoda badawcza opierała się na spektrometrii masowej z rozcieńczeniami izotopowymi, w której do każdej próbki dodawano równoważniki znakowane izotopowo. W badaniach wykorzystano chromatografię gazową sprzężoną ze spektrometrią mas o wysokiej rozdzielczości (GC-HRMS). W rezultacie stwierdzono, że opracowana procedura jest przydatna do zamierzonego zastosowania. Umożliwia ona analizę gleb pod kątem zawartości badanych związków w zakresie od co najmniej 0,15 · 10-9 g/g s.m. do 1,13 · 10-6 g/g s.m.
The aim of the project was to optimize and validate a multi-component method for determining 10 polybrominated diphenyl ethers congeners and 8 compounds classified as novel or emerging brominated flame retardants in soil. As part of the project, 6 soil samples were obtained, including 3 from potentially contaminated sites and 3 samples from theoretically uncontaminated sites. The samples were subjected to purification to extract analytes from the matrix and determine their concentration. The research method was based on the isotope dilution mass spectrometry, in which isotope-labeled equivalents were added to each sample. The gas chromatography coupled with high-resolution mass spectrometry (GC-HRMS) was used in the studies. As a result, it was found that the developed procedure is useful for the intended use. It enables analysis of soils for the content of tested compounds in the range from at least 0.15 · 10-9 g/g d.m. to 1.13 · 10-6 g/g d.m.
