The data was collected as part of a project „LEAP2 as a Modulator of Adipose Tissue and Pancreatic Metabolism in Type 2 Diabetes”, funded by the National Science Centre. This dataset consists of 11 files in .xlsx format. The results relate to the impact of LEAP2 on glucagon expression and secretion by αTC1 cells and rat and murine pancreatic islets. The data is organized according to figures in article, with each figure being represented by one file named after figure, e.g. "Figure_2" file represents Figure 2 in article etc. The first column in each file decribes either used concentration of LEAP2 or type of chemical used in experiment. latter columns represent results for each graph in figure, shown as % of control.
The purpose of project is to expand knowledge about influence of novel hormone, LEAP2, on pancreatic islets, cell cultures representing pancreatic cells and later on obese, diabetic mouse. Research has in vitro and ex vivo character, data obtained through these experiments will be used for in vivo part of project. Data describes changes in expression of genes, proteins and glucagon secretion under influence of various concentrations of LEAP2 hormone, when exposed to αTC1 cell line and pancreatic islets of rats and mice. Data was measured with qPCR, western blot, ELISA and liquid scintillation counting techniques. Research was done in department of Animal Physiology and Biochemistry. This research was funded by the National Science Centre (Poland) (2021/41/B/NZ5/00446). More information in the ReadMe file.
