Annotated database of textual references, citations, and interpretative engagements with the work of Paul Celan within the essays and poetic reflections of Vito Bonito. The repository systematically documents explicit quotations, intertextual echoes, and conceptual appropriations of Celan’s poetics across Bonito’s major works, including Il gelo e lo sguardo, Il canto della crisalide and Poesia e inermità. The dataset combines primary textual excerpts with Bonito’s critical commentaries, highlighting key Celanian notions, such as Atemwende, Gegenwort, and the tension between language, silence, and historical trauma, within a broader reflection on poetic voice, alterity, and the ethical dimension of writing. Particular attention is devoted to the transformation of Celan’s philosophical and poetological insights (notably from Der Meridian and other prose texts) into a distinct hermeneutic framework centered on vulnerability, exposure, and the limits of language. Structured as a thematic and citation-based resource, the database includes aligned passages, bibliographic references, and analytical notes that enable advanced study of intertextual transmission, poetic reception, and the reconfiguration of Celanian thought in contemporary Italian literature. It is designed to support research on the dynamics of poetic inheritance, the ontology of the lyric voice, and the interplay between memory, language, and existential experience in late 20th- and early 21st-century poetics.
