Description

The dataset contains raw data from a randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial (RCT). Data were collected at the baseline (T0) and after 8 weeks (T1). The supplementation consisted of inulin-type fructans (ITF) as the prebiotic and maltodextrin as the placebo. We also included healthy participants as control group, who underwent a single baseline assessment (T0).

Data sets contains selected bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) parameters, carbohydrate parameters (fasting glucose, insulin, glycated hemoglobin, Oral Glucose Tolerance Test results) and indirect calorimetry parameters

This study is part of the OPUS project of the National Science Centre, Poland, granted to Urszula Krupa-Kozak, Ph.D.,D.Sc tilded: "INulin-type β-fructans supplementation to modulate gut microbiota and assessment of its effects on health status and GUT-SKIN axis parameters in patients with psoriasis (INGUTSKIN): the 8-week, randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled clinical study protocol”.
