This dataset contains NMR, TGA, XPS, single-crystal X-ray diffraction, UV–vis, PXRD, and TEM data for amine-capped gold nanoparticles that evolve during purification and aging, as well as data from model reactions.
The NMR data document kinetic studies of the solution-phase decomposition of the isolated AuNP material and AuBr₃/2DDA; the disproportionation of amine-capped gold nanoparticles; the formation of gold-associated imine species; ¹³C NMR, DOSY, and HSQCAD analyses of the isolated AuNP material; the formation of the AuBr₃–DDA complex, [DDAH][AuBr₂], [DDAH]Br, and gold-associated imine species; and other supplementary experiments.
The TGA data include measurements of the isolated AuNP material, AuBr₃/2DDA, and [DDAH]Br.
The XPS data comprise measurements of the isolated AuNP material, AuBr₃/2DDA, AuBr₃–DDA, [DDAH][AuBr₂], [DDAH]Br, DDA and the imine deposited on an Au support.
The single-crystal X-ray diffraction data provide the structure of the neutral AuBr₃–DDA complex together with a dodecylammonium cation, [DDAH]⁺.
The UV–vis data include kinetic studies of the solution-phase decomposition of the isolated AuNP material.
The PXRD data show the diffraction patterns of the isolated gold flakes.
The TEM data contain images of small and large amine-capped gold nanoparticles.
