The dataset documents the experimental work performed to develop and evaluate polymeric nanosphere-based fluorimetric sensors for the detection of perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) anions. It includes fluorescence measurements acquired for PFOA and selected reference analytes, calibration and selectivity data, scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images characterizing the nanospheres, and graphical materials illustrating the sensing concept.
