Celem tych badań jest zaprojektowanie i zbudowanie systemu obrazowania promieniowania plazmowego dla urządzeń fuzyjnych, który koncentruje się na obszarze miękkiego promieniowania rentgenowskiego od około 2 do 15 keV energii fotonów. Oczekuje się, że proponowany system diagnostyczny 2D, w przeciwieństwie do konwencjonalnych systemów 1D, skorzysta z tangencjalnego pola widzenia i dostarczy nowych danych do obserwacji zjawisk toroidalnych. Niniejsze dane dotyczą publikacji, gdzie przedstawiono optymalizację struktury odczytu detektora opartego na technologii GEM przeznaczonego do obrazowania rentgenowskiego w zakresie energii 2-15 keV.
