This dataset contains NMR, UV–Vis, HRMS, DLS, and TEM data for small and large AzoMUS-functionalized gold nanoparticles (AzoMUS@AuNPs).
The NMR data document the synthesis and characterization of the AzoMUS ligand, determination of the pKa of S+ in the absence and presence of trans-AzoMUS@AuNPs and cis-AzoMUS@AuNPs, analysis of ligand desorption following iodine treatment of AzoMUS@AuNPs, and investigation of the complexation of S2+ with both nanoparticle photoisomers.
The UV–Vis data include kinetic studies of S+-long and S2+ in the presence of trans- and cis-AzoMUS@AuNPs, determination of the binding constants of S2+ with both nanoparticle forms, stoichiometry analysis of S2+-AzoMUS@AuNP complexes using Job plots, evaluation of activation parameters through Arrhenius and Eyring analyses, and calculation of Hill-derived occupancy parameters.
The HRMS data provide high-resolution mass spectra of the synthesized compounds.
The DLS data include measurements of the hydrodynamic diameters and zeta potentials of trans- and cis-AzoMUS@AuNPs.
