Database from the study titled: "Efficacy of 2, 4-dinitrobenzenesulfonic acid (DNBS) in the maintenance of a model of inflammatory bowel disease in pigs". This study is a part of the research project titled: "Effect of beta glucan from oats in Crohn’s disease – a preclinical study".
The database contain:
- the pigs' body weight measured weakly;
- hematology results from two study periods: day 15 (the start of the in vivo experiment - before DNBS administration) and day 37 (the end of the in vivo experiment);
- calprotectin concentration in feces from the two study periods: day 15 (the start of the in vivo experiment - before DNBS administration) and day 37 (the end of the in vivo experiment);
- cytokines concentration (TNF-α and IL-1β), and alanine (ALT) and aspartate (AST) aminotransferases activity in plasma
- histomorphometry results from the colon and small intestine (duodenum, proximal jejunum, middle jejunum, distal jejunum, and ileum).
Abbreviation for hematology results: white blood cells (WBC), percentage and absolute value of lymphocytes (LYM%, LYM#), percentage and absolute value of monocytes (MON%, MON#), percentage and absolute value of neutrophils (NEU%, NEU#), percentage and absolute value of eosinophils (EOS%, EOS#), percentage and absolute value of basophils (BASO%, BASO#), red blood cell (RBC), hemoglobin concentration (HGB), hematocrit (HCT), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), red blood cell distribution width-coefficient of variation (RDW_CV), platelet count (PLT).
