Database from the study titled: "Pulmonary infection with Streptococcus suis and Trueperella pyogenes associated with intestinal immune alterations: a gut-lung axis case report in domestic pigs". This study is a part of the research project titled: "Effect of beta glucan from oats in Crohn’s disease – a preclinical study".
The database contains raw data from next-generation sequencing (NGS) analysis of stool samples performed on the Illumina MiSeq System (San Diego, CA, USA). The stool samples were taken from two castrated male domestic pigs (Polish Landrace; 3 months old) which were transported to a research institute in Poland (Masovian District) for scientific research related to the digestive tract. During the 14-day quarantine period, an infection with Streptococcus suis and Streptococcus pyogenes developed.The pigs were assigned experimental numbers #9 (P9) and #10 (P10).
