All data are provided in columns in ASCII (.txt) files.
Files with names starting with "Calc-" contain the results of numerical predictions of sound absorption for acoustic metamaterials with microgeometry based on the Peano-Gosper and a layer thickness of 40.5mm. Each of these files contains three labeled columns of data. The column labels mean:
"Freq" - the frequency;
"Empty Slits" - the values of sound absorption determined for the acoustic metamaterial with empty slits;
"Fibrous Filler" - the values of sound absorption determined for the acoustic metamaterial with slits filled with a fibrous filler.
These results were obtained using COMSOL Multiphysics and MATLAB environments.
The file "Experiment-YellowABS-GosperSampleWithFibres" contains the sound absorption coefficient measured for Gosper-curve-based metematerial samples 3D printed in the FDM technology. There are five labeled columns of data and the labels mean:
"Freq" - the frequency;
"SF30" - the values of sound absorption determined for the metamaterial samples with STRAIGHT pattern and 30 strings (fibres) per 3D printing layer;
"TF30" - the values of sound absorption determined for the metamaterial samples with TWISTED pattern and 30 strings (fibres) per printed layer;
"SF60" - the values of sound absorption determined for the metamaterial samples with STRAIGHT pattern and 60 strings (fibres) per printed layer;
"TF60" - the values of sound absorption determined for the metamaterial samples with TWISTED pattern and 60 strings (fibres) per printed layer.
These results were obtained using a Bruel&Kjaer impedance tube measurement kit.
