This collection contains data obtained during flammability tests of wood-based materials, including measurements of combustion and thermal changes. The data was recorded using a test stand equipped with a burner mounted on a guide controlled by a stepper motor, a laboratory scale, a USB camera, and a thermal imaging camera. The entire setup was controlled by an ESP32 microcontroller and dedicated software.
The ZIP files contain image sequences showing the combustion of wood-based panels (from a USB camera located in the stand). The TXT files contain additional measurement information, such as the change in sample mass over time, burner position, and temperature on the side opposite the flame (data from the thermal imaging camera). The data was collected simultaneously from all measuring devices and time-synchronized (for publication purposes) using a set of analytical tools (FrAnK, FrAnCs, FrIC, and FrAg).
The collected information enables analysis of ignition, fire spread, and heat transfer processes in various types of wood-based panels, such as MDF, LDF, OSB, and plywood. The dataset also includes image processing elements, including masking and perspective correction, which allows for more accurate delineation of burnt areas. Detailed information on the data structure and interpretation is provided in the README file.
