The deposited data were collected as part of the research project entitled ‘Badania białek arabinogalaktanowych (AGPs) jako istotnych składników ściany komórkowej podczas procesu dojrzewania owoców’, eng. ‘Studies on arabinogalactan proteins (AGPs) as significant components of cell wall during the ripening process in fruit’, financed by the National Science Centre, Poland as part of the project under the SONATA 16 (project no: 2020/39/D/NZ9/00232).
The aim of the project is to study the impact of the presence of arabinogalactan proteins (AGPs) on the fruit cell wall, and more specifically on the distribution of other components of the extracellular matrix. The use of advanced microscopic techniques, methods of molecular biology, and structural biology, as well as conducting in vivo and ex vivo experiments allows for expanding knowledge in the field of plant cell physiology and biochemistry.
The research was conducted in the period from 1st October 2021 to 1st March 2024 at the Institute of Agrophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences in Lublin (Poland), and the Mediterranean Agronomic Institute of Chania (Greece). The collection contains the results of studies on the molecular properties of AGPs and immunocytochemical imaging of AGPs localization in fruit tissue at various stages of the ripening process.

The data was compiled based on laboratory tests. The results were obtained using the following research equipment: ultramicrotome (PowerTome XL, RMC Boeckeler, USA), CLSM (Olympus BX51, Tokyo, Japan) with software FluoView v. 5.0. (Olympus Corporation, Tokyo, Japan), ELISA plate reader (MPP-96 Photometer, Biosan), and GelDoc Go Imaging System with Image Lab Software v. 6.1 (Bio-Rad, USA).
