In this work, we designed a library of nine His2 peptides consisting of Aβ5-9 and eight analogs whose binary Cu(II) complexes represent potential phosphate-binding receptors. We performed UV-vis spectroscopic studies on the formation of Cu(II)-His2 peptide complexes. Then, we employed Cyclic Voltammetry (CV) and Differential Pulse Voltammetry (DPV) to check the electrochemical properties of binary Cu(II) complexes of His2 peptides as well as to compare the response of the complexes toward the selected anions. Using the same data set, we discriminated the His2 peptide sequences by Principal Component Analysis (PCA). Data (.csv, .txt) includes:
1) Voltammetric curves of binary Cu(II)-His2 peptide complexes (CV, DPV)
2) Voltammetric curves of ternary Cu(II)-His2 peptide/phosphate systems (DPV)
3) UV-vis spectra registered during the pH titrations of Cu(II)-His2 peptide complexes
