The data was generated as part of a project aimed at determining whether a slit-lamp biomicroscope, used by eye-care specialists to assess ocuar surface health, can be utilized to measure the fluorescence level of the fluorescein-stained tear film for tear clearance rate (TCR) calculation. TCR could be a potential marker of dry eye disease.
To achieve this, the slit-lamp biomicroscope was modified by equipping it with a set of filters optimized for fluorescence observation. To mount these filters on the microscope, a set of custom-made plastic covers has to be 3D-printed from plastic, since it is not commercially available
Dataset contains a documentation of the cover set, including:
1) Three STL files for 3D printing, with blueprints for:
2) One TXT file with the description of the reccommended materials to be used for printing
3) Two JPG files with images illustrating:
STL files may be opened with various free tools, available both online and locally.
