Microplastics represent a new category of environmental contaminants, and understanding their interaction with typical xenobiotics is crucial. In this study, we investigated the effects of ionic liquids (ILs) containing herbicide anions such as glyphosate [Glyph] and 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetate [2,4-D] and the surfactant cation dodecyltrimethylammonium [C12TMA] on acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) microplastics. The aim of the study was to evaluate the sorption capacity of microplastics, which were present in both untreated and aged forms, using standard and modified Fenton methods. In addition, the effects on toxicity and stress adaptation of the model soil bacterium Pseudomonas putida KT2440 were measured.
