This dataset documents analyses of the self-organizing phenomena such as flexible vasculature formation depend on auxin canalization, which manifests as the gradual formation of auxin-transporting channels through feedback between auxin signalling and transport in Arabidopsis thaliana. The study examined the transgenic lines and mutants to identify the novel plant protein MAKR6, as a component of this feedback. MAKR6 interacts with the PIN1 auxin transporter and modulates its trafficking and polarization. MAKR6 also associates with and integrates TMK1/4 and CAMEL–CANAR, two key receptor-like kinase complexes involved in auxin canalization-related processes such as vasculature patterning and vascular tissue regeneration.
Description of the database:
- Images (TIF files, JPG files) of basal parts of wounded inflorescence stems of analyzed pPIN1::PIN1-GFP and DR5rev::GFP transgenic lines of Arabidopsis. Fluorescence of GFP were acquired using Olympus FV1000 confocal system (Olympus, Hamburg, Germany) and Nikon Eclipse Ni-U epi-fluorescence microscope equipped with a Nikon Digital DS-Fi1-U3 camera.
- Images (TIF files, JPG files) of basal parts of wounded inflorescence stems of analyzed mutants makr4, makr6 makr4makr6, pMAKR6::MAKR6-GFP and Col-0 as control were documented with Olympus BX41 transmitted light microscope equipped with a CCD camera.
- Calculations and graphs were performer with the Microsoft Office Excel 2010.
