The data was obtained from food product packaging following a random selection of products from five leading retail chains in Poland. The food products belonged to one of five food product groups: dairy products, cereal products, drinks, sweet snacks and salty snacks. The data obtained was analysed using the Nutri-Score algorithm with the aid of Excel spreadsheets published by the system’s developers. The final ratings in the pre- and post-update versions, carried out in 2023, together with the scores, were included in the database. The database also includes an assessment of product processing according to the NOVA classification and a classification based on potential health impacts according to the classification contained in the KomPAN questionnaire.
