Baza danych małżeństw katolickiej parafii w Łapach z lat 1919-1939. Zindeksowane dane z akt stanu cywilnego katolickiej parafii w Łapach, przechowywanych w Urzędzie Stanu Cywilnego w Łapach. Wykorzystano cztery księgi z lat 1919–1939. Spisane zostały one w całości w języku polskim, a ich stan zachowania ocenić należy na bardzo dobry.
Baza powstała w ramach realizacji projektu badawczego Przemiany w strukturach rodziny w wyniku specyficznej urbanizacji. Demograficzne aspekty kształtowania się kolejarskiego miasta Łapy w latach 1851–1939, finansowanego przez Narodowe Centrum Nauki w ramach konkursu „PRELUDIUM-20” (umowa nr UMO-2021/41/N/HS3/02358). Projekt oparty jest studium przypadku powstającego w końcówce XIX wieku miasteczka Łapy. To miasteczko powstało w wyniku intensywnego procesu urbanizacyjnego terenów wiejskich. Powodem demograficznego rozwoju miasteczka była budowa Kolei Warszawsko-Petersburskiej i ulokowanie na terenie granicznym pomiędzy Królestwem Polskim a Imperium Rosyjskim stacji kolejowej i warsztatów taboru kolejowego. Podstawowymi źródłami do badań są księgi metrykalne chrztów, ślubów i zgonów (ok. 60 tys rekordów) uzupełnione o spisy ludności, wykazy gruntów i akta notarialne. Zakres chronologiczny to lata 1851-1939. Dzięki założonym celom badawczym możliwe będzie umiejscowienie zacofanych gospodarczo terenów północno-wschodnich Królestwa Polskiego w zachodzącym nierównomiernie w całej Europie procesie transformacji demograficznej. Projekt będzie się składał z kilku etapów badań. Najwięcej czasu poświęcone zostanie stworzeniu baz danych na podstawie źródeł masowych w postaci ksiąg metrykalnych. Wykorzystana zostanie m.in. metodologia rekonstrukcji rodzin uznawana w środowisku za jedną z najlepszych metod do badań nad rodzinami w przeszłości.
Niniejsza baza danych jest pierwszą z 3 baz danych powstałych w ramach projektu.
