Protocol of a systematic review of full and partial economic evaluations of exercise-based cardiac rehabilitation in adults with heart failure (reduced, mildly reduced or preserved ejection fraction; chronic or after hospitalization for acute heart failure). Eligible interventions are center-based, home-based, telerehabilitation, hybrid and early post-discharge programs; comparators are usual care or an alternative rehabilitation model. The review will report costs, health effects and cost-effectiveness, appraise reporting and methodological quality with CHEERS 2022, the CHEC-list and the Philips checklist, assess transferability to the Polish public payer setting, and synthesize results narratively and in a dominance matrix after conversion to a common currency and price year. Reporting follows PRISMA-P 2015, PRISMA 2020 and PRISMA-S.
Database searches (PubMed, Europe PMC, Cochrane Library, NHS EED, trial registers and preprint servers) were run on 27 and 28 October 2026, before deposit; no record had been screened at the time of deposit. Searches of Authorea, AOTMiT, the National Health Fund (NFZ), other HTA agencies and Google Scholar are planned after deposit.
The dataset contains the protocol (PDF) and a readme file. For a detailed description of the files, please consult readme.txt.
