This dataset contains research data used to prepare the publication: Kamil C. Opiela, Tomasz G. Zieliński, Keith Attenborough, "Limitations on validating slitted sound absorber designs through budget additive manufacturing". Materials & Design, 218 (June 2022), 110703 (17 pages). DOI: 10.1016/j.matdes.2022.110703
This research has been supported by the National Science Centre (NCN), Poland, under grant agreements 2020/37/N/ST8/04071 and 2021/41/B/ST8/04492.
All data are provided in columns in ASCII (.txt) files.
Files with the metadata for figures are named according to the figure number.
The first column in each file is labeled "Frequency [Hz]" and lists the frequencies in hertz.
The following columns provide the values of the sound absorption coefficient calculated analytically and numerically or obtained experimentally for 3D printed samples. The labels of these columns reflect the curve labels used in the figure.
The analytical results were obtained using Python3/NumPy.
The numerical results were obtained using Python3/NumPy and the FEniCS v2019.1.0 library.
The experimental results were obtained using the Bruel&Kjaer impedance tube measurement kit.
