TXM/TXRM (Transmission X-Ray Microscopy ) are proprietary microscopy data files created by ZEISS 3D X-Ray Microscopes (microCT systems). Tomography datasets that contain a collection of projections (2D images acquired at different angles around the axis of rotation) were saved as *.txrm file. Then, Reconstructor manually reconstructed images stored in *txrm file to form a set of reconstructed slices. A slice is a 2D section of the 3D reconstructed volume that is oriented in the X/Z plane. Slices generated from *.txrm file are stored in a *.txm file. 1
TXM/TXRM post-processing software:
Open Xradia - plugin for Fiji (ImageJ) for reading XRM, TXRM, TXM image files (from Xradia XRM systems), opens them as a stack.
