The files contain the research data described in the manuscript entitled: Unconventional myosin VI is involved in regulation of muscle energy metabolism.
The dataset comprises quantitative measurements of MVI mRNA expression and protein levels, as well as real-time analysis of Prkaa2 expression and assessment of muscle fiber type composition in MVI-KO mice compared with WT controls. It also includes colocalization analyses of MVI and TOM20 in myoblasts, myotubes, and isolated soleus muscle fibers.
Additionally, the dataset contains measurements of oxygen consumption rates in C2C12 cells (Scrambled and MVI-KD) and in primary myoblasts isolated from MVI-KO mice, mitochondrial membrane potential in primary myoblasts from MVI-KO and WT mice, and densitometric analyses of key proteins involved in skeletal muscle metabolism.
Further data include ATP production ratios, triglyceride concentrations, epididymal fat pad weight–to–body weight ratios, and overall body weight measurements.
This research was conducted as part of a project funded by the National Science Centre (Poland) under the Sonata 18 program [grant number 2022/47/D/NZ3/02737].
