The purpose of the study was to isolate turkey semen macrophages and optimize protocols for their characterization based on specific macrophage markers, facilitating their classification into CD14+iNOS+ and CD14+IL10+ subpopulations using immunofluorescence (IF) staining and fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS).
